This product certainly works as advertised...really convenient to have the motorized lift action...freed up tons of space in the garage. We bought 2 of them including the 3x6 metal platform, took a couple of hours to install the hardest part is if you have a finished ceiling is to identify the ceiling joists. Only complaint is the instructions could be a little more user friendly, one of the shipments were missing 2 parts a cotter pin and a paper template for the motor mounting plate. Thankfully I opened up the right box first, because the paper template for the motor mounting is very helpful versus holding the heavy metal plate that the motor mounts to. Overall very pleased with the purchase and would definitely recommend buying this versus any unit that doesn't have motorized lift capabilities...we have an existing pull mount in place so we truly can compare the two. The one unit we have hoists 7 bikes to the ceiling and other we used to lift lawn equipment off the floor.
