I am 68 years old and needed to move a 550# gun safe down two flights of narrow stairways. With the help of only two other men, we easily lowered the safe with this simple but very effective machine! I know that we couldn't have done the job without this block and tackle. My only disappointment was that it could have easily been made with 8:1 mechanical advantage instead of 7:1.
